This work is made of dark jade with an emerald-green jadeite plate. The dark jadeite background is a magnificent mountainous landscape with verdant pines and cypresses standing in the midst of it, as if it were a beautiful ink painting. At the top of the mountains stands a green pine, its branches winding downward, strong and powerful, and the verdant pine leaves at the top of the tree are distinctly defined and lifelike. The work is skillfully presented on two levels, with the delicacy and stability of a plane ink painting and the three-dimensionality and intensity of a jade carving.
At the top of the peak, there are eight immortals sitting and watching the world, with their eyes wide open, reflecting the world in their hearts, and their minds open to the world.
On the left, there are two cranes perched at the top of a tree. Pine trees and cranes have always been the symbols of longevity, and they are meant to be a blessing of longevity.
