This work is made of three-color jadeite, and combines the concepts of Yin and Yang, using convexity as Yang and concavity as Yin, and reality as Yang and imagination as Yin. The artwork shows that the blackest part of the ink contrasts with the whitest part of the ink, echoing to form a Tai Chi image.
The whole structure is a pine tree. The leaves of the pine tree are fused with the concept of imagination and reality, which expresses the sense of being like a pine needle and like a Taiji; the shape also resembles a mountain scene, with a longevity old man sitting on the top of a mountain, accompanied by a white crane, which expresses the blessing of prolonged life, longevity and good luck.
